Now out in theaters and available on VOD, Deliver Us is a horror-thriller about a nun (Maria Vera Ratti) who gives birth to twins. The catch is that one of the babies is the Messiah and the other is the Anti-Christ! Writer/directors Cru Ennis and Lee Roy Kunz talked to Deepest Dream about their feature, which also co-stars Thomas Kretschmann (Wanted) and Alexander Siddig (Cairo Time).

Deliver Us’ production and sound design, along with the cinematography, help build an immersive narrative. Cru Ennis and Lee Roy Kunz are the co-founders of World’s Fair Pictures, and Deliver Us is definitely a strong addition to their resume.

“Directing has always been my long term goal,” said Ennis, who makes his feature directing debut with Deliver Us. “This project just fit. I grew up in the Church and so I had a point of view outside Catholicism. Lee Roy Kunz is Catholic and that added something to the story. I really wanted to see if I could do this. Everyone thinks they can direct until it’s there.”

Eric Holmes and I review Deliver Us on the latest episode of CinemAddicts:

“I knew if I brought Cru in to direct this one, it would be a much better film than I could do by myself,” said Kunz, whose previous directing credits include A Beer Tale and Delirium. “Also with (our company), we’ll each be directing our own films but we’ll also serve a producer role and fill up the skills that we know that we’re stronger in as filmmakers.”
