Iris Herrera did not get a chair turn for her first rate rendition of “Gypsy” back on “The Voice” season 26. She came back this year with “You Are My Sunshine” and made it through The Blinds. Herrera survived The Battles, as coach Kelsea Ballerini picked her over Simone Marijic, and now she is trying to past The Knockouts. Herrera reflects on her “The Voice” journey and why having the support of “strong women” is a huge reason she is a confident artist.

“I feel like just do it,” said Iris Herrera regarding advice for those who want to be a part of ‘The Voice.’ “That is such a simple saying and it’s very easier said than done. Just be you and be truthful to you. If that means now is not your time, that is okay. But still listen to you. You’re going to get a million noes before you’re going to get a yes. When you do get that yes, all those million noes will no longer matter.”
