Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, and the cast/filmmakers of Freakier Friday were at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater Tuesday night to celebrate the film’s World Premiere. The movie is a sequel to 2003’s hit Freaky Friday, and over the 20 plus years Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan have remained friends.
“I have stayed in contact with Lindsay since we made Freaky Friday in 2003,” said Jamie Lee Curtis during Freakier Friday press junket interviews. “She was 15 years old. And the movie came out and she was 16. We have stayed in verbal (contact through) phone (and) texting. She has a wicked, wicked emoji game.”
“We have seen each other over these 22 years, many, many times,” added Lee Curtis. “She will come to Los Angeles, and we will see each other here. I’ll go to New York, we’ll see each other there. She lives in Dubai, so it’s harder to see her, but she brought her baby to Los Angeles before we had announced that we were making the movie. She came to Los Angeles and, and brought little Luai and in fact, she brought Luai over to my house and I met Bader (Shammas).”
