Fans of director Steven Kostanski (“PG: Psycho Goreman”) will definintely be on the hook for “Frankie Freako,” an absurdist horror comedy that features a ton of pratical effects and puppets. The trailer is a total standout, and if you love 1980s nostalgia then “Frankie Freako” might be your cup of tea.

“Frankie Freako” centers on Conor (Conor Sweeney), an introverted yuppie who calls a late-night party hotline to break out of his shell. That call unleashes pint-sized monsters lead by a goblin named Frankie Freako (Matthew Kennedy).
