Yaya DaCosta on what makes Apocalypto a unique moviegoing experience (video is below the transcript):

“Oh gosh there’s so many. Okay, I’m just going to say the first one that popped into mind is Apocalypto. And it’s because – Mel Gibson (directed it) – a lot of people haven’t seen it. I just love that movie so much and for me, as an actor, I think one of my strengths is listening and the acting that gets done in silence. As a kid, I loved silent films and there is a lot of that in that film. There’s a lot of just so much being conveyed in the stillness. And that’s what really interests me.”

Are you a fan of Apocalypto? I purchased the Blu-ray years ago and, for some odd reason, can’t find it (I definitely want to see this movie and should have seen this sooner than later). Feel free to comment below. To join our movie community, please check out our CinemAddicts Facebook Page!
