Daily Video: Kristin Cavallari On The Genesis Of “Uncommon James”

Fans of The Hills and Laguna Beach are probably excited that Kristin Cavallari is back to reality television with Very Cavallari. During the NBC/Universal Press Day, I asked Cavallari about what was the driving force behind creating her lifestyle brand Uncommon James. Video is below!

Life for Kristin Cavallari has definitely changed over the past eight years since The Hills ended its run. A mother of three (she’s married to retired football player Jay Cutler), Cavallari is based in Nashville and is laser focused on getting Uncommon James to another level.

I remember being 18 right after ‘Laguna Beach’ and making a shoe inspiration book and I’ve been working with Chinese Laundry on a shoe line for six years. And it has been the best and I’ve learned so much and I’m truly grateful for that partnership. But then a year ago, you know I think accessories can make or break your outfit. So I felt jewelry was the next best step. The next natural step I should say. So I started Uncommon James. I’m 100% the owner – it is my company. And it is the first time I’ve had complete creative control to do whatever I want and it is the most rewarding challenging, best job on the planet. And I’m just having fun. – Kristin Cavallari

***Here’s the Video (apologies for the one second shakiness in the vid, which was due to a clumsy reporter!!).
