Hitting Netflix on June 30, the animated feature Nimona is a first rate tale that features the voices of Chloë Grace Moretz and Riz Ahmed. Set in a “futuristic medieval world,” Nimona was a fun and engaging watch. Check out our CinemAddicts review (audio and video) below!
Directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane, Nimona centers on Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed), a knight accused of a killing he did not commit. A shape-shifting teen named Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz) enters his life and vows to help him clear his name. Based on the New York Times best-selling graphic novel by ND Stevenson, Nimona features crackerjack banter between Ballister and Nimona. The action sequences, particularly during one escape sequence, is thrilling to watch. There are a couple of welcome twists as well.
