Social media is an addiction that has been normalized. We are living in a digital age of mass consumption, and convenience may have taken precedence over empathy and face to face communication. The Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma addresses issues we may already understand, but looking in the mirror has an intrinsic value.
Lexi Simonsen makes her feature acting debut opposite Ryan Philippe in the action thriller The 2nd. During our conversation she talked about learning on the job from Philippe and Jack Griffo, pursuing other endeavors, and why The Devil Wears Prada is one of her favorite features.

A twisty and unrelenting thriller, The Owners is also blessed with a talented ensemble (Sylvester McCoy, Rita Tushingham, Maisie Williams) to anchor the narrative. Director/co-writer Julius Berg talked about his approach to his feature and how strong performances is a key to his feature’s effectiveness.
Academy award winning writer Charlie Kuafman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) is known for crafting dense, oftentimes non-linear narratives that refreshingly merit repeated viewings. I’m Thinking of Ending Things, a feature based on Ian Reid’s bestselling novel, snugly fits into that asthetic, refreshingly upending our expectations while delivering an immersive tale.
Brandon Christensen directs and is the co-writer of Z, a psychological/horror thriller about a couple (Keegan Connor Tracy, Sean Rogerson) whose son (Jett Klyne) has a dangerous imaginatry friend. During our conversation, Chistensen talked about the key to providing as much production and narrative value to an indie project.
Actress/singer Lúcia Moniz stars in Fatima as Maria Rosa, the mother of a young girl (Stephanie Gil) who believes she has seen the Virgin Mary. Moniz and Gil worked closely together during the production, and during the interview she talked about that collaboration. She also reflected on her work with Love Actually director/writer Richard Curtis.
Executive produced by Ridley Scott and created by Aaron Guzikowski, Raised by Wolves centers on two androids (Abubakar Salim, Amanda Collin) who are tasked with raising human children on an unforgiving and mysterious planet. The pair talked about what makes Scott a unique filmmaker and how they were able to bond during the production.
