Benicio Del Toro Recalls Childhood Astronaut Days

Benicio Del Toro, last seen in the films A Perfect Day and Sicario, turns 49 today. Before the Oscar winning actor (he won for Traffic) decided to embark in film, he had spacier ambitious as a four-year-old.

Del Toro dressed up like an astronaut on his birthday, and it’s a vivid memory he still holds to this day. “I’ve never forgotten that birthday,” says the actor. “I still remember the astronaut outfit and I was very excited about dressing like somebody else for my birthday so maybe that’s the beginning of my acting career.
