Abigail Cowen and Tom Lewis star in Redeeming Love, a D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) directed feature that co-stars Logan Marshall Green and Famke Janssen. It hits theaters Friday, January 21 and a timestamp of the Video interview is below!
Based on Francine Rivers’ bestselling novel, Redeeming Love centers on Michael (Tom Lewis) and Angel (Abigail Cowen), a young couple whose relationship must overcome its share of personal struggles. Famke Janssen plays the Duchess, a madam who previously had Angel in her employ, and Logan Marshall Green co-stars as Michael’s judgmental brother-in-law Paul.
Set around the California Gold Rush era, Redeeming Love has its share of Western elements, and its production design is a sight to behold. Lewis and Cowen are also believable as the lovers who battle against the odds to carve out a beautiful life in the country.
“It’s a heavy subject matter, but it’s a very important subject matter,” said Cowen. “A topic that i believe needs to be talked about more. I felt a huge responsibility to the character and to the role. It was an honor but it was definitely a challenge.”
