Apple Original Films has released the trailer to The Family Plan, an action comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan. Movie hits Apple TV+ on December 15. Let us know your thoughts on the trailer!
The Family Plan centers on Dan Morgan (Mark Wahlberg), a loving suburban dad who is presumably living the American dream. Years back he was an elite goverment assassin, and now his adversaries are tracking him down. Dan takes his wife (Michelle Monaghan) and three kids on a cross-country trip to Las Vegas for a trip they will never forget.
Monaghan and Wahlberg previously worked together on the Peter Berg directed drama Patriots Day.
It is obvious that Dan is going to reveal his previous line of work to his family, and that is revealed in the trailer. A parent rap-a-long to “Ice Ice Baby” is also in the offing. Director Simon Cellan Jones has directed a couple of movies, but his resume is heavily dominated with TV work (The Diplomat, See, Boardwalk Empire). David Coggeshall, the screenwriter behind Orphan: First Kill, penned The Family Plan screenplay.
