The narrative centers on Shoko, a deaf elementary school girl who transfers to a new school after a boy named Shôya bullies her. Guilty over his actions, Shôya attempts to reconnect with Shoko and befriend her. The picture received the Japan Academy Award for Excellent Animation of the Year as well as Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Tokyo Anime Awards.
A Silent Voice also has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%, so I’ll definitely check it out and review this title closer to its release date. The release will have both the subtitled and dubbed versions.
