As much as I love Marvel and DC, opening up more comic book universes on a cinematic level is always a welcome sight. Vin Diesel is the titular character in Bloodshot, a feature that is a central figure of Valiant Comics.
Thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy films, the Fast and the Furious franchise, the xXx pictures, the Riddick installments (beginning with Pitch Black), and a possible continuation of The Last Witch Hunter, Diesel is an expert with anchoring a franchise. Dave Wilson makes his feature directing debut with Bloodshot, an action thriller that also stars Eiza González (Baby Driver), Sam Heughan (Outlander), and Lamorne Morris (New Girl)
“Bloodshot is the central character of the Valiant Comic Universe,” said Diesel. “He is a character who was formerly a soldier that is enhanced through technology and manipulated to, without giving away too much of the story, be a corporate assassin.”
