Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk till Dawn) and Nick Chinlund (The Chronicles of Riddick) previously worked together in Con Air, and now they are reunited with The Prey: Legend of Karnoctucs. The action feature, which is getting great audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, hits Digital platforms on July 7. It’s currently available on Cable VOD.
Set in the Afghanistan desert, a group of mercenaries are searching for treasure, only to be trapped in a cave with retreating U.S. soldiers. Although they are being hunted by Taliban, they have a much bigger enemy in the form of a beast named Karnoctus. Directed by Eric Hensman, The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus is a “homage to the action-adventure and monster flicks of the 1980s.” Highlander: The Series star Adrian Paul and Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux are also part of the ensemble.
Find Your Film co-host Eric Holmes is a fan of 80s action features, so I made sure we received screening links for the feature. We will be reviewing it in the coming weeks in anticpation of its July 7 digital release (such outlets include iTunes, Prime Video, Vudu and Google Play).
On the latest FYF episode, we review Cha Cha Real Smooth, The Witch 2: The Other One and Spiderhead:
