‘The Omro Heist’ Interview: Jamie Bailey, Simon Phillips, Ken Bressers, Anthony Crivello Talk Indie Filmmaking

Hitting TVOD/Digital on July 29, The Omro Heist centers on a bank robbery that goes south at a small Wisconsin town. Director/co-writer Jamie Bailey, co-writer/actor Simon Phillips, producer Ken Bressers, and actor Anthony Crivello talk about the feature. The filmmakers did a deep dive on the making of The Omro Heist and delivered some interesting insights on indie filmmaking.

One of the hightlights of The Omro Heist was having the premiere at Milwaukee’s Avalon Atmospheric Theater. “A great old theater,” said producer Ken Bressers. “And they’ve done wonders in fixing it up. I used to go there when I was in high school and the advantage of (having the premiere at the Avalon) was – oh my goodness.

From the premiere, the filmmakers all got together and agreed to make some cuts that would make The Omro Heist, according to Bressers, a “much better movie to release.”
