‘The Martian’ With Matt Damon Hits Blu-ray In January

The Martian

The Martian, a film that’s considered to be one of director Ridley Scott’s finest films (considering he directed Alien and Blade Runner, that’s saying something), comes out on Blu-ray and DVD January 12.

The plot centers on Mark Watney (Matt Damon), an American astronaut who finds a way to contact Earth in hope that scientists can rescue him. Based on Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, the picture was honored by the National Board of Review for Best Director (Scott), Best Actor (Damon), and Best Adapted Screenplay (Drew Goddard).

The 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray versions contains over 90 minutes of special features which include the making-of documentaries “Signal Acquired: Writing and Direction,” “Occupy Mars: Casting and Costumes” and a gag reel.
