The Lost Bus, the latest movie from filmmaker Paul Greengrass (United 93, Jason Bourne), is the true story of bus driver Kevin McKay’s (Matthew McConaughey) attempts to drive 22 children and school teacher (America Ferrera) to safety during an inferno. The movie, penned by Greengrass and Brad Ingelsby, is based on Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire. Check out Purkey’s review on our latest post.

“(The Lost Bus)is more of an action thrill ride,” said Bruce Purkey. “This is a dad movie. Like those old school war movies like The Dirty Dozen – just classic dad movies. Adventure, disaster, and cop movies from the 1970s. (And) this movie kind of fits right into that because it’s thrilling, it’s got action, and it’s got danger.”

Rounding out The Lost Bus’ ensemble are Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson and Spencer Watson. The Lost Bus is now streaming on Apple TV+. Let us know your thoughts on the movie in the comments!
