A brand new 4K restoration of The Idiots hits New York’s Metrograph on June 16. On July 7, The Idiots will stream exclusively on MUBI.
Directed by Lars von Trier under the Dogme 95 “Vows of Chastity,” The Idiots centers on a Danish commune who come up with an inane idea. In an attempt to disrupt bourgeois society, they fake physical mental or physical disabilities in public.
The Idiots, censored upon release, is now restored and uncut. I still have not seen The Idiots, and I’m definitely looking forward to its 4K resolution release.
