Rebekah Kennedy reunites with Two Witches director Pierre Tsigaridis for Traumatika. Their latest collaboration hits theaters September 12, and Kennedy discussed her appreciation of the horror genre. She also reflected on one of the most important pieces of acting advice she received (while working on Criminal Minds) and why she loves working with Tsigaridis.

“Traumatika” – Saban Films

Working with director Pierre Tsigaridis has been a fruitful experience for Rebekah Kennedy. Playing an intense and mentally anguished character in Traumatika, Kennedy went all out for the role. So having an even keeled director absolutely enhanced her performance. “ I know Pierre is gonna take care of me,” said Kennedy, who described the movie as a ‘crazy ride.’ “I know he’s gonna make me look good in not a pretty way, but in the best, horrific way possible.”

“He is going to give me the time that I need on set to prepare, to get into character,” added Kennedy. “He never makes me feel rushed for whatever reason. It just always feels like a very calm, peaceful, if he’s stressed out, I never know it. He never lets on. So I knew after working with Two Witches that I was in, and I will always be in for whatever (he and producer Maxime Rancon) do because it’s always it’s weird to say fun because a lot of my scenes were not fun. But the experience was great.”

Check out our full interview with Kennedy below, as she talks about what makes the horror genre so unique and why working on Criminal Minds positively changed her approach to acting:
