Director/writer Javier Reyna’s (Regionrat) new movie Due Justice is now out in theaters and available on Digital and On Demand. Reyna’s path to filmmaking was borne out of determination and perseverance. He talked about his early days as he chased his directing dreams. One of the steps along the way included working on the Barbra Streisand movie The Mirror Has Two Faces. Reyna talked to CinemAddicts host Eric Holmes about Due Justice, an action thriller starring Kellan Lutz and Jeff Fahey, and how sneaking into the Sony Studios lot actually put him in good stead!

Due Justice centers on Max (Kellan Lutz), a former Marine whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered. Driven by revenge, Max embarks on a mission to seek the killers responsible for their death. The cast includes Jeff Fahey and Efren Ramirez.

Along with discussing his latest feature, filmmaker Javier Reyna recounts his days doing whatever it took to get on a movie set. Sometimes that would get him kicked out of the studio, but his years of struggle ultimately turned into a fruitful career. Reyna is also the screenwriter behind the upcoming feature Ruthless (it comes out in December).

It’s a very interesting interview with Reyna, and it’s worth it just for his thoughts on working with Barbra Streisand on The Mirror Has Two Faces:
