Directors Tord Danielsson And Oskar Mellander Uncover ‘The Evil Next Door’

Swedish thriller, headlined by actyress Dilan Gwyn, is now available stateside On Demand.

Now available stateside On Demand, The Evil Next Door centers on Shirin (Dilan Gwyn), a woman who attempts to protect her boyfriend’s son (Eddie Eriksson Dominguez) from a supernatural entity. Filmmakers Tord Danielsson and Oskar Mellander discuss the challenges of making Shirin an initially unlikable character and elaborate on their visual approach to the thriller.

I really enjoyed both Dilan Gwyn and Eddie Eriksson Dominguez’s performances, and the slow build narrative ultimately pays off with an suprisingly resonant final act. My Find Your Film co-hosts Bruce Purkey and Eric Holmes had a differing opinion of the movie. Take a listen below:

Tord Danielsson and Oskar Mellander also wrote the feature, and they discuss crafting the ending. That bit of video is available for members of our CinemAddicts Patreon. The rest of the interview is featured below!

The Evil Next Door is available On Demand, and you can support our website and podcasts (Find Your Film, CinemAddicts) by purchasing/renting the film through Amazon (we receive a small commission):
