Ava Nat garnered a three chair turn after her performance of Gracie Abrams’ “I Love You, I’m Sorry” during The Voice Blind Auditions. She picked Niall Horan as her coach, and on Monday evening she takes on Team Niall member Aiden Ross during the Battles. Nat talked to Deepest Dream about her experience on The Voice, working with Horan, and balancing her music career and academic life. Last but not least, she also talks about her music (which includes the appropriately titled “The Hook”).
The comedy Out of Order, headlined by Brandon Routh, premieres tonight at The Chelsea Film Festival. The red carpet is at 6 pm et at the Regal 14th Street Cinema with the screening starting at 7 pm et. Alex Brown battles fellow Team Niall artist Liam Von Elbe on The Voice. Now playing in select theaters, Orwell: 2+2=5 is filmmaker Raoul Peck’s (I Am Not Your Negro) look at iconic author George Orwell. In collaboration with the Orwell Estate, Peck employ historical clips, Orwell’s diary, cinematic sequences and modern day footage to craft a portrait of the revered scribe who coined the terms “Big Brother” and “Newspeak.” Damian Lewis serves as Orwell’s voice in the documentary. Shyam P. Madiraju directed the excellent feature 55, a modern-day adaptation of Oliver Twist set in Mumbai. With that interesting premise, the feature should not have taken years to release. But that has been 55’s fate, and Madiraju talked to Deepest Dream about the long road in getting the film towards release. The movie, which stars Emraan Hashmi and Rizwan Shaikh is now out on VOD and comes highly recommended from this reviewer. Along with delivering an insightful look into 55, Madiraju also dives into his passion for fellow filmmakers Ingmar Bergman and Robert Bresson. Check out our full interview below!

Tony Danza co-stars as Jimmy’s father, the owner of a floundering memorabilia store. This arrested development tale, which is surprisingly resonant, hits theaters today. Kiah Roache-Turner (Sting, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead) wrote, directed and co-edited his latest feature Beast of War. Set during World War II, the feature centers on a several Australian soldiers who are stuck on a raft and are targeted by a hungry shark. Beast of War is more than just a guilty pleasure creature feature since Roache-Turner had a talented ensemble and layered screenplay at his disposal.
