Actress Italia Ricci has read her share of horror scripts, but the unique storytelling behind The Confession along with an immediate kinship with director Will Canon sealed the deal. The movie centers on a musician’s (Ricci) discovery that her childhood home might be haunted and influencing her son’s (Zachary Golinger) behavior. Virginia Madsen stars in Sheepdog, the story of a U.S. Army combat veteran (Steven Grayhm) who is court ordered to attend sessions with a VA trauma therapist-in-training (Madsen). Madsen credited the “beautiful writing” and extensive research done by filmmaker/actor Grayhm as a few reasons why Sheepdog was a gratifying experience. The feature hits theaters January 16. William H. Macy - Frontier Crucible - Well Go USA Entertainment
Starring Thomas Jane and Myles Clohessy, Frontier Crucible lands on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD February 17th via Well Go USA Entertainment. Based on Harry Whittington’s novel Stake-Out, the Western centers on a determined man (Clohessy) who tries to get a wagon filled with medical supplies to people in need. A trio of outlaws (Thomas Jane, Armie Hammer, Ryan Masson) serve as his main antagonists.
Director Michael Premo spent seven years making his Homegrown, and starting today the documentary is available to rent on the Direct to Audience (DTA) platform GATHR through Monday, February 16 (Presidents’ Day). The movie follows three conservative activists and alo covers the January 6th attack on the Capitol along with its aftermath. Premo talked about his award winning feature, which won Best Technical Contribution at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
Director Nicholas Pineda’s found footage horror movie Infirmary debuts at Dances With Films NY on January 16. The story centers on Edward (Paul Syre), a security guard who starts hits first night at a long-abandoned mental asylum. Mark Anthony Williams is Lester, a retiring guard whose off-putting behavior gives Edward an uneasy feeling.
