Sean Reid

Sean Reid is the founder and writer of PM Weekly, and he comes to physical media from three decades inside the industry it covers. He began in entertainment news as the Assignment Manager at E! News Live, and went on to work as a producer, director, and writer across features, documentaries, television, and streaming. He is the co-founder and president of World One TV, an independent streaming platform built for multicultural and global storytelling, and works in development and distribution for Stream Go Media, where the question of which window a movie lives in is a daily one. Reid wrote and directed the feature Redemption, one of the early independent movies shot in high definition and distributed by Lionsgate, and has produced genre and documentary work including Craving, A Hard Place, and Horrors of War. He also directed the DVD Premiere Awards, hosted by Ben Stein with presenters including Quentin Tarantino. That mix, a streaming founder who still believes a movie is worth owning, is the perspective he brings to PM Weekly. He lives in Fayetteville, Georgia.
