Baroness’ members include founder John Baizley (vocals/guitar), Gina Gleason (guitar), Nick Jost (bass) and Sebastian Thomson (drums). The press release for this event describes the band’s vision as “kaleidoscopic,” and having just listened to Gold & Grey this morning, I’m going to add the word “unexpected” as well.

Although the tracks have a melodic tinged, they still rock to the core. As much as I dig straight ahead rock, the bandmates also take creatives risks by bringing a unique and personal style to the proceedings (as witnessed by the tracks “I’m Already Gone,” “Sevens” and the epic “Tourniquet”).

Are you a fan of Baroness? If so, what albums should I check out and are you excited for the livestream event? Feel free to comment!
