In Barely Lethal, actress Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect 2, True Grit) is Megan Walsh, a special ops agent who ditches her colleagues to attend high school and live out her suburban dreams (she pretends to be an exchange student – from Canada). During the press conference, I asked Hailee Steinfeld and Dove Cameron if they are still learning various lessons from their respective profession.

In the audio clip below, Steinfeld talks about her early days as an actress and her diligent approach to the craft (“I haven’t stopped coaching- I haven’t stopped learning”). As for Cameron, whose comedic and musical talents are on full display in the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie, she discussed why, even when one surpasses the “10,000 hours” rule, the learning just never stops.

Barely Lethal, co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, Sophie Turner, Jessica Alba, and Thomas Mann, opens in theaters and On Demand May 29, 2014.
