Avatar: The Way of Water heads to physical media on June 20. Movie fans can purchase the blockbuster feature on 4K UHD, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD. Three hours of bonus content featuring the cast, crew and filmmakers will be featured in the release! The original Avatar is also being released that same day for the first time on 4K UHD to digital retailers and on Blu-ray.
Avatar: The Way of the Water bonus features include the featurettes Inside Pandora’s Box and More From Pandora’s Box. For Inside Pandora’s Box, there will be a multitude of mini-featurettes including: “Building the World of Pandora,” “Capturing Pandora,” “The Undersea World of Pandora,” “The Challenges of Pandora’sWaters,” “Pandora’s Recurring Characters,” “Pandora’s Next Generation,” “Spider’s Web,” “Becoming Na’vi,” The Real People of Pandora,” “Bringing Pandora to Life,” “The RDA Returns to Pandora,” “The New Characers of Pandora,” “The Sounds of Pandora,” and “New Zealand – Pandora’s Home.”
The mini-featurettes on More From Pandora’s Box include “Casting,” “The Stunts,” “The Lab,” and “The Troupe.” The two theatrical trailers of Avatar: The Way of Water and The Weeknd music video “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” are also part of the physical media release.
Memories From Avatar is a new bonus feature on the 4K UHD Edition. Producer Jon Landau heads a conversation with cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang as they share their Avatar memories. Another new feature Avatar: A Look Back is also on the Avatar 4K UHD Edition.
