There’s a new release date for the thriller/drama Z for Zachariah, as the feature is set for an August 28 release via Roadside Attractions (it was initially set for an August 21 bow). Chris Pine, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Margot Robbie topline the feature.

Directed by Craig Zobel from a Nissar Modi penned script, the narrative centers on a young woman (Robbie) who believes she may be the last person on earth. Her assumption is proven wrong after encountering a scientist (Ejiofor) who is nearly driven insane by radiation exposure and his desperate search for other people. Their initial bond unravels when a stranger (Chris Pine) enters the picture. Tim Orr, who’s done excellent work in the David Gordon Green directed features Manglehorn and Joe, is Z for Zachariah’s cinematographer.
Robbie, who burst onto the scene with her scene stealing performance in The Wolf of Wall Street, was seen earlier this year opposite Will Smith in Focus. Ejiofor will also be featured in the thriller Secret In Their Eyes, and Pine starred in the 2014 musical Into The Woods.
