Ava Nat garnered a three chair turn after her performance of Gracie Abrams’ “I Love You, I’m Sorry” during The Voice Blind Auditions. She picked Niall Horan as her coach, and on Monday evening she takes on Team Niall member Aiden Ross during the Battles. Nat talked to Deepest Dream about her experience on The Voice, working with Horan, and balancing her music career and academic life. Last but not least, she also talks about her music (which includes the appropriately titled “The Hook”).

Ava Nat reflected on the fruitful experience working with Niall Horan as her coach. “ I think that him being a singer/songwriter, he connected to that and he connected to how important it was for me,” said Ava Nat. “I think that meant a lot. I mean, he’s really just a great coach. And he’s actually like coaching me and I learned so much. You know, he’s not just giving me the songs – he’s working through the song with me. So that was really special.”

Check out Ava Nat’s song “The Hook”:

”I just wanted a song that was kind of just catchy,” said Ava Nat on ‘The Hook. “And a lot of my songs are really deep meaning, and I wanted something that’s kind of fun.”
