Two time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz stars in “Old Guy” as an aging hitman who trains a young prodigy (Cooper Hoffman). Co-starring Lucy Liu and directed by Simon West (“The General’s Daughter,” “The Expendables 2”), “Old Guy” is an action comedy I’ll be watching when it hits theaters and Digital on February 21, 2025. Simon West is no stranger to hitman driven features, as he helmed the underrated 2011 remake “The Mechanic” starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster. One hopes “Old Guy” reaches similar heights.
The Avenue
This is Cooper Hoffman’s (“Licorice Pizza”) fourth movie credit, and it will be interesting to see if he handles this genre with confidence. Ann Akinjirin, Jason Done, Tony Hirst, Kate Katzman, Conor Mullen and Rory Mullen round out the ensemble.
Running at 93 minutes and Rated R, “Old Guy” hits theaters and digital February 21.
