50 to 1, the true story of Mine That Bird’s surprising victory at the 2009 Kentucky Derby, hits DVD and Digital HD on April 28 via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Skeet Ulrich (Scream, Law & Order: LA) stars as Mine That Bird’s trainer Chip Woolley with Christian Kane co-starring as the horse’s owner Mark Allen.
Director Jim Wilson, whose credits include Whirlygirl and Head Above Water, is also a lifelong producer (Dances with Wolves, Swing Vote) , and he raised over $8.5 million to get 50 to 1 off the ground.
Special features on the disc included a making-of-featurette and blooper reel.
