Idina Menzel is back as Elsa on Frozen 2, and during last week’s premiere she had nothing but grateful words to share regarding her all consuming Frozen experience.

Released in 2013, Frozen made over $1.2 billion worldwide and such iconic songs “Let It Go” and “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” has inspired its share of young kids (including my three year old niece).
“It’s bittersweet,” said Menzel during last week’s Frozen 2 premiere. “It’s weird. We’re ready to take it to the world and it’s like our own little baby and we love it. But it’s just been one of the greatest gifts in my career for me. It’s brought me so much joy and love and the themes in these movies are so important to young audiences and the music gives me an opportunity to go all over the world and connect with young people and really sing into their eyes. And they sing with me.”
Also returning for the sequel are acclaimed songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and one would assume this soundtrack will have its share of memorable tunes (including “Into the Unknown”).
“There’s a lot of great music and the Lopezes are very talented people,” said Menzel. “They’ve gotten to know us know so they write with our voices in mind and it makes our life easier and I’m really excited for everyone to hear this music.”
Frozen 2, co-starring Kristen Bell as Anna, opens nationwide November 2.
