Now out in theaters and available on Digital and On Demand, Turbulence is an action thriller with some dangerous ballooning! The story on centers Zach (Jeremy Irvine) and Emmy (Hera Hilmar), a married couple who go off ballooning for romantic getaway. Before they go off ballooning, a mysterious woman named Julia (Olga Kurylenko) enters their party. Director Claudio Fäh talked to Deepest Dream about his filmmaking beginnings and why Turbulence is a highly stylized film.

Turbulence is not just a reference to the ballooning mishaps that will occur in the film. Julia (Olga Kurylenko) had a meeting with Zach (Jeremy Irvine) the night before, and though there is still a question if they hooked up, their encounter might affect Zach’s marriage. Meanwhile, Harry (Kelsey Grammer) is looking forward to just returning home to his loved ones and Emmy has no idea about the “turbulence” that is headed her way!

Check out my review of Turbulence on this week’s CinemAddicts:

“The whole thing is a bit of an allegorical tale,” said Claudio Fäh. The storm that they have to weather in the balloon is also the proverbial storm that they have to weather within their relationship. It’s a story about , a fraying marriage that goes through turbulent times.”

Fäh also added that he went with a “slightly stylized” approach in making Turbulence: “If you think about it, they take off in the basket (and) we stay with them (and) never cut away.”
