Die My Love (Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson) - Kimberley French, MUBI
Filmmaker Lynne Ramsay (We Need To Talk About Kevin, You Were Never Really Here) is back with Die My Love, and the trailer has just debuted. Could this movie be remembered come awards time? This looks like a tour de force performance from Lawrence.
Directed by Steven Feinartz, Are We Good? is an insightful look at podcaster/comedian Marc Maron’s career and life. A healthy portion of the documentary details Maron’s grief over girlfriend Lynn Shelton’s death. Are We Good? gives viewers an uncompromising look at Maron as he understandably struggles with how to incorporate Shelton into his stand-up act. The film was roundly recommended by all of us on the latest CinemAddicts – check out Bruce Purkey’s video review below!

Sean Ellis - BTS - "The Cut" - Republic Pictures (A Paramount Pictures Label)
Filmmaker Sean Ellis (Metro Manila, Anthropoid, The Cursed) brings a unique vision to whichever genre he tackles. With The Cut, he follows the journey of a former boxer (Orlando Bloom) who will return to the ring only if he makes the weight. If the pugilist doesn’t make “the cut” (Bloom’s character needs to lose 30 pounds in six days), then the match won’t take place. It’s a nice twist to a boxing movie, and Ellis talked to Deepest Dream about his latest project and also reflects on his directing journey.
