Ashley Johnson Loves Puzzles Behind ‘Blindspot’

Ashley Johnson (Much Ado About Nothing, The Avengers) stars in the new series Blindspot as Patterson, a member of an FBI unit that is trying to figure out why a mysterious (and naked) woman (Jaimie Alexander) appeared in Times Square sans her memory. Though many employees may be unnerved by the discovery, Patterson is eager to unravel the clues that will help the woman remember her true identity.

Having done voice work in the acclaimed and cerebral video game epic The Last of Us, Johnson (she’s also a featured voice on Minecraft: A Telltale Game Series) admits she’s passionate about solving puzzles and is also an avid gamer. Though Blindspot has its share of wall to wall action (usually dispensed by series headliners Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton), the series is also infused with mystery – so expect a few twist and turns with the narrative.

In the video below, Johnson talks about her attraction to the “puzzle” elements of Blindspot and she also elaborates on Patterson’s bedside manner (co-star Marianne Jean-Baptiste is also featured in the vid):

Blindspot debuts tonight on NBC (10/9c).
