On our latest CinemAddicts podcast, Eric Holmes and I picked To Kill A Wolf as our top movie pick of this week. The picture, directed and written by Kelsey Taylor, is now playing at New York’s Regal Union Square and will have a nationwide rollout throughout this month. Check out our post for our full review and further details on To Kill A Wolf.

To Kill A Wolf

A reclusive Woodsman (Ivan Martin) discovers teenage runaway Dani (Maddison Brown) in the Oregon woods. After he helps her get back to stable condition after several days in his domicile, he also agrees to take Dani to her grandmother.

Their gradual friendship forms the narrative spine of To Kill A Wolf, and their respective pasts come to light. Rounding out the ensemble are Michael Esper and Kaitlin Doubleday.

As discussed in our review, the visuals of To Kill A Wolf are immersive since much of the feature is set in the wilderness. Filmmaker Kelsey Taylor does a bang up job of getting us into the mental space of both characters, and although the movie is described as a modern day version of Little Red Riding Hood, the story is its own singular tale.

Both Eric and I gave To Kill A Wolf ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The blend of mystery and family dynamics was perfectly executed in this 92-minute narrative. Check out our full review below via CinemAddicts and/or YouTube:
