Now playing in theaters,The Private Eyeis a mystery/comedy about Mort Madison (Matt Rife), a private investigator who takes on a case by a mysterious woman named Michelle (Clare Grant). Mort is tasked with spaying on David (Elliot), a man who might be romanticaly involved with Michelle. Eric Roberts co-stars in this indie feature from filmmmaker Jack Cook. It’s a twisty, Los Angeles set narrative that appealed to my sensibilities. Grant and Elliot talked to Deepest Dream about why The Private Eye was a unique experience.

The Madame Web press tour continued in Brazil, and Dakota Johnson wore an eye catching spider gown at the Vogue Brazil Ball in Rio de Janeiro. Director Peter Hutchings previously worked with Lucy Hale on The Hating Game, and now they are back again for Which Brings Me To You. This time out Nat Wolff joins the party, and although the movie looks like a funny romantic comedy, it brings much more elements to the table. Pettyfer talked to Deepest Dream about the movie, which hits theaters and is available on Digital and On Demand January 19.
The new Hulu series Death and Other Details centers on a murder mystery that takes place at a Mediterranean ocean liner. The prime suspect is Imogene Scott (Violett Beane), and she teams up with detective Rufus Colesworth (Mandy Patinkin) to find the real killer. Showrunners Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams talked to Deepest Dream about their new series.
Thomas Vincent (Bodyguard, Versailles) directs Role Play, the story of an assassin (Kaley Cuoco) who is also a happily married woman in the New Jersey suburbs. Things get understandably crazy when her husband Dave (David Oyelowo) uncovers her secret. This mix of action and comedy was one of the picture’s challenges for Vincent, and he talked to Deepest Dream about shooting Role Play.
During his Golden Globes acceptance speech, PaulGiamatti thanked teachers and The Holdovers director Alexander Payne and his co-stars (Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Dominic Sessa). Giamatti won Best Male Actor for the film, and he also revealed his love for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre!
With her Best Actress (Motion Picture, Drama) for Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone is the first Indigeous actor to win a Golden Globe.
