Brawlhalla, a free-to-play platform fighter from Ubisoft, is heading to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on November 6 via Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games.
Ubisoft is currently developing another installment of the Far Cry franchise, as Far Cry Primal hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 23, 2016. The title will also have a Windows PC launch on March 2016.
The world of Assassin’s Creed goes beyond the gaming experience, and Ubisoft are teaming up with several licensees at the New York Comic Con (NYCC) to showcase new publishing and merchandising items that complement this immersive (and, of course stealth based) universe.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed universe, comes out October 23 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The Windows PC version is slated for a fall release.
Great news this week for puzzle fans, as Tetris Ultimate is hitting the Nintendo 3DS on November 11. Ubisoft is charging $19.99 to gamers who purchase the game digitally through the Nintendo eShop, and it’s also available at retailers for $29.99.
The new game, according to Ubisoft’s press release, has “six exciting ways to play Tetris, plus a new single-player Challenge mode that will test the skills and determination of the most die-hard Tetris champions.” The ability for 1-4 players to compete in seven different game modes is also something I’m looking forward to.
The “Battle Ultimate” mode lets players dump blocks on their opponents and “Rotation Lock” suspends the ability to rotate the tetriminos. Though variation is more than welcome in the Tetris universe, but I’ll continue with the tried and true endless mode (keep clearing lines until you run out of room or stamina) with Tetris Ultimate.
Since my Tetris relationship dates back to the 1980s, I have nothing but biased love for the franchise, and my enjoyment of this iconic puzzler is already a given. Tetris Ultimate will also be available later this winter as a digital download for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and PlayStation Vita .
Ubisoft has released a trailer introducing gamers to Far Cry 4 antagonist Pagan Min, the bloodlust driven and power hungry dictator who is described as a “psychopath” and the “best dressed man in Kyrat.”
Having possibly killed his own father to attain even more power, the Hong Kong born Pagan was part of a powerful drug family in the Golden Triangle. Pagan’s sights were set much higher, as he gathered an intimidating army to take over the failed state of Kyrat and become the land’s self-appointed King. The resistance movement known as the “Golden Path” are focused on dethroning the crime lord and restore some semblance of peace in Kyrat.
Far Cry 4 heads to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 18.
