Tragedy Girls opens in New York and Los Angeles October 20, but thankfully it’s not a flick that comes out and is gone before the blink of an eye (leading to an immediate run on Blu-ray and streaming). If you’re a horror/comedy genre fan (Scream franchise comes to mind), Tragedy Girls should be your cup of tea (actually it’s more like a double espresso shot to the soul). Growing up a Gen X baby, my indelible memory of John Cusack is his ghetto blaster, serenading Ione Skye with “In Your Eyes” moment in Say Anything. But sometimes the hero becomes the villain, and I’m pumped to see Lloyd Dobler turn evil with Blood Money. Miles Teller (Bleed for This, upcoming Only The Brave) stars in Thank You For Your Service as Adam Schumann, a returning soldier from Iraq who, along with his fellow colleagues, finds it difficult readjusting to civilian life.
