I really dig space exploration movies, and usually when there is alien contact from Mars, the end result isn’t a good one. Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds and Rebecca Ferguson (The Girl on the Train) star in the upcoming science fiction film Life, and the trailer and images are available after the jump.

Joe Anderson is an actor who’s been on my radar thanks to his work in Supremacy and, more recently, Abattoir. Both movies showcases his range, and it’ll be interesting to see it expand even further with My Father Die. More info after the jump.

Annette Bening (The Grifters, In Dreams) will be honored at the Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) with a Career Achievement Award. Hosted by Mary Hart, the Film Awards Gala will be held January 2 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Director Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg, whose successful collaborations include the non-fiction narratives Deepwater Horizon and Lone Survivor, cover the events surrounding 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. During this weekend’s press conference, co-star Michelle Monaghan (The Path, Fort Bliss) talked about collaborating with the pair.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, John Krasinski will serve as the narrator for Disneynature’s upcoming feature Born in China. Krasinski was seen this year in The Hollars (which he also directed) and the military drama 13 Hours.
It’s arguably one of the biggest nights of The Voice season. After getting down to a Top 12, the show has slowed the chopping block a bit recently allowing audiences to fully get behind their remaining favorites.
