In anticipation of the August 25 release of Madden NFL 16, EA Sports has released Madden: The Movie The several minute action trailer has actors Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse amassing a ragtag group of fighters to fight a fellow Madden playing nemesis.
Four of football’s top stars are competing for the chance to grace the Madden NFL 16cover. There are several ways to put in your vote this year, as you’ll get the chance to support New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., and Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown.
Electronic Arts has announced that a playable demo of EA Sports FIFA 15 can now be downloaded for PC on Origin, Xbox One, Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members, and the PlayStation 3 consoles (the PlayStation 4 demo is available later today). Xbox Live Silver members can download that FIFA 15 demo starting September 15. To download the demo, please visit http://easports.com/fifa/demo.
“The launch of the FIFA 15 Demo is like our pre-season and the first chance for millions of FIFA fans to get hands-onn with the game,” said EA Sports FIFA Senior Producer Nick Channon. “The demo is an early representation and taste of this year’s game, and we welcome the chance to get fan feedback on our innovations and new features.”
Along with the ability to play under such premier league teams as Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, and Chelsea FC, gamers also get the chance to listen to eight new songs from the FIFA 15 soundtrack. They are:
Elliphant – “All or Nothing”
Polock – “Everlasting”
Sante les Amis – “Brasil”
Magic Man – “Tonight”
FMLYBND – “Come Alive”
Slaptop – “Sunrise”
Milky Chance – “Down by the River”
Jungle – “Busy Earnin”
Gamers are also encouraged to give their feedback on the demo by using #FIFA15Demo on their respective Facebook and Twitter accounts. FIFA 15, developed at EA Canada, hits North America September 23 on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 4 platforms.
FIFA 15 is also coming out on the Nintendo Wii (yes you heard right on the Wii and not the Wii U!), the Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation Vita later this fall.
The NBA finals are in full swing with the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs, and EA Sports has just released the first screenshot for NBA Live 15. The photos of Paul George (Indiana Pacers), Tony Parker (Spurs), Rajon Rondo (Boston Celtics), James Harden (Houston Rockets), Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers), and Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) are stunningly accurate representations of the players, and this might be the year when the “Live” franchise finally gets its mojo back. Rondo’s dour and pensive look, from where I sit, is absolutely on the money.
I was also impressed with last week’s open letter from NBA Live 15 executive producer Sean O’Brien, who admitted certain flaws of the NBA Live 14 experience: “5-on-5 gameplay didn’t have the depth and polish of an EA SPORTS game and our visuals just weren’t up to expectations for a next-gen title. We’ve been laser-focused on making sure that this isn’t the case with NBA Live 15.”
Check out the impressive video below, which deals with how the NBA players were captured through the use of 12 DSLR cameras:
