It’ll be hard to find another actor (maybe Sullivan Stapleton?) who take on the physical challenges that Jaimie Alexander faces in Blindspot. In our interview with Alexander, she talked about how season two has gone “really smooth.” And if you’re into learning more about Kung Fu, check out our video below as Alexander talks about her passion for Wing Chun.
“It has been quite a journey,” says Alexander. “I don’t think I was prepared for how demanding the show was going to be physically and mentally. And, of course, relocating to New York when my home was always in Los Angeles. It was a huge change in my life but I was able to adapt quite well and now in Season 2 we’ve worked out all the kinks and it’s going really smooth.”
“It’s something that’s new to me,” adds the actress, who’s also known for her work as Lady Sif in the Thor films. “I wrestled in high school. I never did the martial arts type of thing when I was younger. It’s something that I’ve really started doing a lot of being on Blindspot and I really enjoy it. It’s really helped me. Some people take baths. Some people take pills to help them calm down. I do this.”
