Stephen King Documentary ‘King On Screen’ Hits Theaters In August

Advertisements

Directed by Daphné Baiwir, King On Screen feels like a must see for Stephen King fans and cinephiles. Over 50 directors have adapted King’s books to the screen or for television. Encompassing King’s impact on cinema in a 75-minute documentary is a tall order, but hopefully a slew of filmmakers are up to the task.

King On Screen interviewees include Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Mist), Tom Holland (The Langoliers), Mick Garris (The Stand, Sleepwakers), Taylor Hackford (Dolores Claiborne), and Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep). Actors Tim Curry (It), Dee Wallace (Cujo) and the late James Caan (Misery) are also interviewed.
