Phillipa Soo Juggles ‘One True Loves’ In New Trailer

It’s a classic movie trope; one soulmate seemingly is presumed dead and the other person moves on and finds a new companion. One True Loves, based on a love story by Taylor Jenkins Reid, features Phillipa Soo as Emma, a woman who is faced with such a love conundrum. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!

Emma Blair (Phillipa Soo) placed her life on hold in mourning of the death of lover Jesse (Luke Bracey). Sam (Simu Liu) is the nice guy who reignites her passion for life and ultimately becomes her fiance. When Jesse comes back, it’s obviously great news for Emma, but now she has to choose between her “one true loves.”

I am a sucker for well told romantic dramas, and considering it is directed by Andy Fickman, One True Loves should be appealing. A veteran filmmaker who has worked with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (The Game Plan, Race to Witch Mountain) and John Cena (Playing with Fire), Fickman knows a thing or two about crafting solid, entertainment fare.

One True Loves hits theaters April 7 and will be available on digital April 14 via The Avenue. I’m a fan of the time travel romantic drama Press Play (also from The Avenue), so I’m looking forward to this movie. Let us know if you will be checking out One True Loves!
