The First Omen has a 69% (audience) and 80% (critics) Rotten Tomatoes score. Even with the solid reviews, the feature has made just $19.9 at the box office (worldwide estimates) into its second weekend. Maybe good word of mouth will help draw more viewers, and CinemAddicts co-host Bruce Purkey had nothing but praise for The First Omen.

The narrative centers on Margaret (Nell Tiger Free), a young American woman whose journey to Rome leads to an encounter with evil incarnate. Rounding out the ensemble are Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson, Billy Nighy, Tawfeek Barhom and Charles Dance.

Bruce Purkey likens The First Omen to the Giallo classic Suspiria, and overall he gave high marks to the film. Check out his review in podcast or video form below.
