Set in a post-apocalyptic feature, Vesper centers on the titular youth (Raffiella Chapman), a 13-year-old who uses her survivalist skills (and passion for biology) to support herself and her ailing dad Darius (Richard Brake). When a mysterious woman (Rosy McEwen) enters their lives, Vesper believes this stranger will lead she and her father to the technologically rich confines of the Citadel.

Listen to our review of Vesper on the Find Your Film podcast:

Eddie Marsan co-stars as Vesper’s uncle Jonas, a brutal man who bullies his underlings (and family) to no end. With hope fading fast, Vesper must use her wits to ensure that she and her father leave this harsh terrain.

Directed with aplomb by Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, Vesper is a visual feast that is infused with a healthy supply of imagination and first rate storytelling. Althogh e checked the movie out in our respective domiciles, Vesper is worth a watch at your local theater.
