It has been a creatively fruitful year for Nicolas Cage thanks to his features Pig (for which he received a Best Actor Critics Choice nomination) and Prisoners of the Ghostland. Next year he headlines The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and Lionsgate has released its first set of images.
Directed by Tom Gormican, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talentcenters on Nicolas Cage, an iconic actor who is in dire financial straits. Cage accepts a $1 million offer to attend a superfan’s (Pedro Pascal) birthday. His fate takes an unpredictable turn when a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) recruits him for a mission.
Gormican’s previous feature was the 2014 feature That Awkward Moment which featured Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller. Rounding out that talented ensemble are Mackenzie Davis, Addison Timlin and Imogen Poots.
The feature, which co-sters Neil Patrick Harris and Sharon Horgan, hits theaters April 22, 2012. Tell us if you’re excited for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent!
