IFC Films Lands North American Rights To Elizabeth Banks Thriller “Skincare”

IFC Films has acquired the North American rights to “Skincare,” a crime thriller starring Elizabeth Banks and Lewis Pullman.
A fictional story inspiored by true events, “Skincare” centers on Hope Goldman (Elizabeth Banks), a renowned aesthetician who launches her own skincare line. Angel Vergara (Luis Gerardo Méndez) is the rival facialist who opens a skincare boutique across from her studio.
Lewis Pullman co-stars as Goldman’s friend who helps her unrvael the mystery on who is behind sabotaging her life and career. Austin Peters directed the feature from Deering Regan and Sam Freilich’s screenplay.
“I have so many seminal memories watching films at the IFC Center on 6th Avenue and movies that begin with the IFC logo,” said Peters in a statement. “I am thrilled to be working with Scott Shooman (head of AMC Networks’ Film Group) and everyone at IFC who so value the theatrical experience and I can’t wait for audiences to see Skincare.”
Skincare hits theaters August 16, 2024.
