‘Dead Mail’ Review: An “Engrossing” Horror That Is One Of This Year’s Best

CinemAddicts co-host Bruce Purkey had nothing but praise for the new Shudder release “Dead Mail.” Directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy, this tale reportedly has a retro-indie feel, and Purkey simply loves this movie. Check out his review below!

“Dead Mail” starts off with a bound man crawling towards a remote postal box. He slides in a message into the slot before being caught by a mysterious figure. Jasper (Tomas Boykin) is a “dead letter” investigator at a 1980s midwestern post office who attempts to find the origins of this message.

Written and directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy, “Dead Mail” streams exclusively on Shudder starting April 18th. Purkey described the feature as “engrossing” in his review:
