Joe Anderson is an actor who’s been on my radar thanks to his work in Supremacy and, more recently, Abattoir. Both movies showcases his range, and it’ll be interesting to see it expand even further with My Father Die. More info after the jump.

Marking Sean Brosnan’s feature directing debut, My Father Die centers on Asher (Anderson), a deaf and mute man who has been training for two decades to exact vengeance on Ivan (Gary Stretch), the man who killed his older brother. Now that Ivan is out of prison, Asher is bent on meeting his goal, even though Ivan is actually his father!

The trailer shows that the film is attempting to balance high octane action with a somewhat meditative tone, and hopefully Brosnan achieves that balance. Sean’s father, actor Pierce Brosnan, also produces the feature. I’ll be reviewing the film in the coming weeks and it’ll also be covered on CinemAddicts.

My Father Die, co-starring Candace Smith and John Schneider, hits theaters and On Demand January 20, 2017.
